FIRST®’ purpose is to inspire young people to become leaders and inventors in science and technology. This organisation, founded by Deam Kamen in 1989 encourage students and mentors – professionals, teachers, university students – to exchange knowledge to carry out the project. Along the years and thanks to the first FIRST® program’s success (FIRST® Robotics Competition), the FIRST® created other programs : FIRST® Lego Leage, FIRST® Tech Challenge... involving students from elementary school to high school. .
